Crafting Legendary Whiskey:

What sets Lynchburg apart is its greatest natural resource, Cave Spring Hollow. Drawing 800 gallons of crisp, cool, 56-degree water per minute from deep below the Earth’s surface, it’s the lifeblood of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey. This pristine water source plays an integral role in the character of every drop.

What sets apart the Single Barrel Select is the quality of the barrels used in the aging process. The barrels are an art form in themselves, crafted from American White Oak and diligent American craftsmanship.  They consist of 33 separate wood staves, each of a unique size, held together not by glue or nails, but by the precise pressure of wood’s arrangement. Providing exceptional flavors to the whiskey as it ages. The barrel is entrusted to shape each flavor profile. The process continues as the barrels’ interiors are toasted and charred to coax out the wood’s natural sugars and caramelize them. These sugars play a pivotal role in shaping the whiskey’s distinctive flavor. The method of toasting barrels is exclusive to Jack Daniel’s, reflecting their commitment to precision and hands-on craftsmanship.

Aged to a distinct flavor:

Age isn’t the sole measure of maturity; it’s the flavor that truly counts. Jack Daniel’s team of accomplished whiskey tasters carefully sample each barrel, seeking those subtle nuances of flavor and character that indicate readiness for bottling. The calendar date can’t capture all the complexities that a sip can reveal. As the years passed, the whiskey within barrel 23-02191 matured gracefully, till it was ready to be bottled in March of 2023.  After being bottled in limited edition etched Tin Lizzie bottles, it made the final leg of its journey from Tennessee to the Black Hills of South Dakota.
